[Notice] New Customs Regulation for Shipments to Vietnam

PLS KINDLY NOTE BELOW NEW CUSTOMS REGULATION FOR SHIPMENTS TOVIETNAM
Subject: [Notice] New Customs Regulation for Shipmentsto Vietnam
This is to inform that Vietnam customs has recentlyintroduced a new manifest module system, for shipments to Vietnam.
For all shipments to Vietnam, please take note of therequirements as per below:
I. COMPARISONTABLE:
All information on theVietnam E-manifest system are requested to follow below requirements:

2. H.S code | At least 4 number digits | At least 8 number digits |
3. Name of cargo in the Description | Commodity # Description | |
Commodity name is corresponding with HS code list. | Commodity name is required to follow the appendix of decision no 6889/TCHQ-GSQL: - HS code: Column 3, 4, 5. - English name: Column 7. | |
4. Failure to comply to requirements | - Have to submit EDI to E-Manifest system again; - Customs to sanction carrier about administrative violations; - Penalty cost to carrier. | Cargo would retain on board |
II. SUMMARYREQUIREMENTS:
All information on the Vietnam E-manifest system are requestedto follow below requirements:
1. Consignee nameand Notify party name:
1.1 Must have clearstatement of Cnee’s TAX code with the format below.
- For General cargo:
TAXcode # Company name # Address # Telephone # Email
- For Waste cargo:
TAXcode # Import License # Bank Deposit number # Company name # Address #Telephone# Email
1.2 Important Note:
- “#”is compulsory to separate between the information;
- TAX code: A sequenceof number digits, excluding special characters (such as spaces,., -) / \ (=!"% & *; <> @ & |?: + ''`. );
- Import License: Valid import license;
- Company name: Correspondingwith TAX code and must be the same with the one shown in Import License andBank Deposit.
2. H.S code
Must have clearstatement HS CODE by item in the M.B/L & H.B/L Description:
- For General cargo:Requires atleast 4 number digits.
- For Waste cargo:Requires atleast 8 number digits.
3. Name of cargo inthe Description:
3.1 Compulsoryformat: Commodity# Description
3.2 Important Note:
- “#” is compulsory toseparate between the information;
- Description do notdeclare the content is not necessary, not related to the goods. The briefdescription of the goods includes the description of the nature of the goods,packing specifications, number of packages, weight, etc.
- Commodity: The nameof the goods on the E-Manifest system is the name of the goods used in the HScode list.
*For Wastecargo:Requires to usethe name listed in the appendix of decision no 6889/TCHQ-GSQL.
Please refer to HS code(Column 3,4,5) and English name (Column 7) in attached file.
3.3 Example: PLASTIC WASTE#44 PKG#176 PACKAGE
