Dear MSCCustomers,

Firstly, I wouldlike to share with u the benefit for our MSC service to POD/ITAJAI:  

• ITAJAI is the best substitute port to NAVEGANTES (located in Santa     Catarina states and facing NAVEGANTES, see map below)

• ITAJAI is direct on Carioca and MSC is the only carrier to offer a     viable option to NAVEGANTES which face continuous delays due to the work     performed on the terminal.

• Logistics costs are on par with NAVEGANTES and enjoy the same tax     benefit as the remaining Santa Catarina’s ports.

• ITAJAI is also a great alternative to the remaining port in Santa     Catarina such as ITAPOA.

• ITAJAI and NAVEGANTES are not impacted from the limited of space in     the depots like ITAPOA is, hence, minimizing the risks to face demurrage     & storage costs.

Consideringabove potential risk of delay at the ports of ITAPOA/NAVEGANTES, we would liketo suggest changing the port of discharge (POD) to ITAJAI to avoid extendedtransit time. If your customer agrees to the COD to ITAJIA, the COD cost willbe absorbed by MSC. This will ensure timely delivery of your shipment and avoidany unnecessary delays. Pleaselet us know if you agree to this change. We are committed toproviding the best service to our clients.
